Changelog

What's new.

Weekly summary of GrailBot product updates, improvements, and fixes.

Week of August 10, 2026

  • New
GrailSense learns from what you actually buy

Pro collectors can now turn on automatic eBay purchase sync in Settings → Integrations — GrailBot quietly pulls in what you actually buy on eBay and keeps your collection and GrailSense recommendations current, no more remembering to re-upload a CSV.

  • New
A real Help Center — and a GrailBot Academy

The old FAQ is now a full Help Center: 13 categories and 100+ searchable articles, so you can actually find how something works. Alongside it, a new Academy teaches the collecting side — grading, parallels, print runs, and how to read a listing the way GrailBot does.

  • New
Discover — a browsable catalog and Scouting Reports

A new Discover tab lets you browse a catalog of players and cards worth chasing, plus curated Scouting Reports — editorial takes on names and cards worth a look. Find one you like and hand it straight to the search builder to start tracking it.

Week of August 3, 2026

  • New
Guided Search Builder — good eBay searches, no guesswork

Not sure how to write a search that catches the right cards? The new Guided Builder asks a few plain questions — paste your list of names, pick sports or TCG, and set what matters (rookie, auto, graded, and more) — then builds clean, well-formed searches for you in one go. No eBay-search expertise required.

  • Improved
New searches start ready to work

Searches you create now default to auto-watching your best matches from the start, and the prompt to connect eBay is clearer — so a new search begins filling your watchlist instead of just listing results.

Week of July 27, 2026

  • Fixed
Yu-Gi-Oh!, Magic, and One Piece searches look in the right place

Searches for those three games were pointed at the wrong eBay categories and missed listings they should have caught. Fixed — TCG searches now scan the correct shelves.

  • Improved
GrailSense and your weekly digest got sharper

A wave of personalization fixes: no more cross-hobby picks leaking into your feed (soccer collectors, no stray Charizards), your digest never arrives empty, lookalike suggestions cover far more players, and anyone you've muted stays muted. (Pro)

  • Improved
GrailScore reads the player — and more baseball sets

Closed a gap where a listing's player wasn't always reaching the scorer, so cards are judged on who's on them again — plus added premium baseball set tiers (Topps Luminaries and more) so those cards score where they belong.

  • Improved
Manage your subscription from one place

Billing now lives in a single Settings → Billing tab, and the Manage subscription button opens the Stripe portal directly — update your card, view invoices, or change your plan without hunting for the link.

  • Improved
Tips built right into search creation

The search builder now shows inline tips drawn from the mistakes we saw most in real saved searches — so you sidestep the common traps while you're building, instead of finding out later.

Week of July 20, 2026

  • New
New Grail Sets: Aaron Judge and Shohei Ohtani

Baseball's biggest bats get the treatment — a fresh curated set for Aaron Judge (11 cards) and a rebuilt Shohei Ohtani (12 cards), each built around the player's real firsts and the true grails worth the chase.

  • Improved
GrailScore gets numbered autos — and fake grades — right

Serial-numbered cards now earn a scarcity boost that scales with the print run — a /25 lifts toward the top while a /299 barely moves — so a low-numbered auto no longer scores like a common parallel. And a grade in a listing's title is only trusted when it names a real grader (PSA, BGS, Beckett, CGC, SGC), so a bogus "OCE 10" can't inflate a card anymore.

Week of July 13, 2026

  • New
Your daily watchlist slots go to your best finds

Free accounts get a limited number of auto-watch adds per day, and Pro users have the eBay watchlist cap to consider. Instead of first-come-first-served per search, GrailBot now pools every match across all your searches and first spends those slots on the highest-GrailScore listings overall, so a grail from one search never loses its spot to a lesser card from another.

  • New
See what each search is actually doing

The Searches table now shows Found / Scored / Watched for every search — how many listings it surfaced, how many cleared the GrailScore bar, and how many landed on your eBay watchlist — with a totals row and a 7 / 30 / 90-day window. Tell which searches are pulling their weight at a glance.

  • Improved
Sharper scores from each listing's full details

GrailScore now reads every listing's full card details — parallel, print run, grade, and features — instead of scoring from the title alone, so parallels, numbered cards, and graded slabs are judged on what they actually are.

  • New
A Pedri Grail Set — and a dual rookie worth chasing

Fresh curated set for Pedri, built around his real firsts (down to the Emerson #76 background cameo — his first-ever appearance on cardboard). We also added the sought-after 2020-21 Topps Now UCL dual rookie — Jude Bellingham's rookie card with a young Erling Haaland cameo — to both players' sets.

  • Fixed
Grail Set pages read cleanly on your phone

On mobile, the Tracking / Copy / Copy link buttons could spill off the edge of the card, and card captions stranded stray bullet dots. The buttons now stack neatly under the title, and each card shows its significance blurb — the same note explaining why it matters that the public page uses — instead of a cramped year/set string.

Week of July 6, 2026

  • Improved
GrailScore reads more of the card

A big scoring upgrade for sports cards. Marquee inserts (Downtown, Kaboom, and friends) are now scored on their own — they used to get mixed up with plain base cards. Donruss Optic reads as Optic instead of base Donruss, we enhanced print run clarity for scoring (a /5 will always score better than a /99), and we taught GrailScore 33 more sets so an unknown set can't outscore a real one. Sharper scores mean the right cards rise to your watchlist.

  • Improved
A perfect 100 should mean a real grail

GrailScore's top of the scale is more honest now: a minor player's maxed-out card will never score like a superstar's, and a strong-but-not-grail card of a star will never round up to a perfect 100. Reaching the elite band now takes a card collectors actually chase — so a 100 is reserved for true grails.

  • New
Pokémon cards now scored on real market value

GrailScore for Pokémon used to sometimes read rarity names — "Secret Rare," "Alt Art" — as scarcity, which badly over-scored the modern cards that are mass-printed. It now scores Pokémon against actual market price from TCGPlayer, the same value-anchored scale sports cards use: everyday bulk settles down where it belongs, and genuine vintage chase cards rise. Cleaner scores mean the right Pokémon reach your watchlist.

  • Improved
Your GrailSense digest reflects what you actually collect

The weekly digest leaned too hard on GrailBot's own auto-watches and let premium Pokémon monopolize every This week's picks slot. Now it weighs your real engagement, interleaves picks by your taste, and the Players you might also like row rotates fresh names each week — with a dismiss button so you never see one you've waved off again. (Pro)

  • New
Grail Sets for Haaland and Bellingham

New curated sets for Erling Haaland and Jude Bellingham, plus richer firsts and per-card notes backfilled onto Neymar, Maradona, Aitana Bonmatí, and Zinedine Zidane — every card now says why it belongs.

  • Fixed
    "Start this set" sticks now

Starting one of our curated sets could quietly forget itself on reload, showing you as not subscribed even after you'd started it. It now persists correctly, so your set stays tracked.

Week of June 29, 2026

  • New
Watch GrailBot work before you finish signing up

Onboarding now ends with a live reveal: GrailBot scans real eBay auctions for what you collect and shows you the top grails it found, right there in the wizard. One tap adds them straight to your eBay watchlist — so you leave setup with a watchlist that's already working, not an empty one.

  • New
Your searches auto-watch their best matches

Every search now automatically pulls its strongest few listings — ranked by GrailScore — onto your watchlist, instead of just stacking them in a feed for you to sift. It's capped to a short list per search and skips weak, low-score matches, so you get the real finds without your watchlist flooding.

  • Improved
Keep auto-watch running on its own

A new setting lets you tell GrailBot to keep adding your top matches to eBay automatically after onboarding, so you don't have to confirm each time. Leave it off and GrailBot still finds everything — it just waits for your tap before touching your watchlist.

  • New
    A day-two welcome back

The day after you sign up, a banner greets you with the fresh auctions GrailBot pulled overnight — so your second win lands the moment you return, before the regular scan cadence takes over.

  • Improved
Narrow searches won't come up empty

If a very specific search finds nothing on its first pass, GrailBot now broadens it just enough to surface real listings — so even the most niche collectors see it working from day one instead of hitting a dead end.

  • Fixed
Your reveal shows your finds, not the crowd's

While your first scan was still running, the welcome reveal could briefly fall back to the site's trending cards. It now waits for and shows your own top matches — and any house picks used as a backstop are labeled honestly as such.

Week of June 22, 2026

  • New
New Grail Sets for the names everyone's chasing

Fresh curated sets dropped for Lamine Yamal, Vinícius Jr, Jamal Musiala, Florian Wirtz, Mohamed Salah, Son Heung-min, Christian Pulisic, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Harry Kane — each built around the player's real firsts: first card, first rookie, first autograph, first World Cup, and the true grails worth the hunt.

  • New
Grail Set pages built to be found

Public Grail Set pages got a redesign, and every set now opens with a written intro, an FAQ, and a note on each card explaining why it matters — the 1st rookie, the 1st auto, the 1st flagship. They're optimized for search too, so a set you build can pull in other collectors straight from Google.

  • Improved
Curated card images that stay sharp

Set covers and card photos are now self-hosted at full resolution and won't get overwritten when prices refresh — so your sets keep their hand-picked look, with proper image credits.

  • New
    Free members get auto-watch

Free accounts now auto-add your strongest matches to your eBay watchlist too — up to 10 a day, resetting cleanly each day — so you can watch GrailBot work before deciding to upgrade.

  • Improved
    Deals — fresher, and sortable

The Deals feed refreshes daily now for fresher numbers, and you can sort by Net % spread or by freshness to put the newest gaps on top. (Pro)

  • Improved
    One-click TCG set watching

Starting a watch from a TCG set now matches any version of each card and defaults to auto-watch, so a single click can cover the whole set.

  • Fixed
Copied Grail Sets keep their card images

Copying a Grail Set to chase it yourself now carries the curated card images over too, so your copy looks just like the original instead of falling back to plain listing thumbnails.

Week of June 15, 2026

  • New
    Grail Sets, rebuilt

Grail Sets got a full makeover. Open a set into a binder view with tiered pockets, build your own by searching, pasting a list, or pulling straight from your collection, and watch your completion climb as you check cards off — with a little celebration when you finally finish the chase.

  • New
Share your sets with the world

Every set now has a public page at its own link you can drop anywhere. Claim a username, and other collectors can track your set, copy it to chase themselves, or climb the new contribution leaderboard. Your checklists are something to show off now, not just keep.

  • New
    Upload your own card images

Set a cover image for any set and photos for individual cards — uploaded straight from your device. Your Grail Sets finally look like the binder in your head.

  • New
Deals — real eBay vs TCGplayer spreads

A new Deals feed surfaces cards selling on eBay below their TCGplayer price, net of fees — the actual spread, not the sticker one. Per-card deal chips show you the gap at a glance. (Pro)

  • Improved
A sharper dashboard, end to end

A wave of polish landed at once: search schedules now show in your own timezone, prices read clean across the app (no more "$405.00"), you can turn a hot auction into a saved search in one click, drill any run into exactly the listings it found, and free members can finally see a real GrailSense preview before deciding to upgrade.

  • New
    Stickers count too

Album stickers are a first-class card type now — track your Panini World Cup sticker grails right alongside the chrome and the autos.

Week of June 8, 2026

  • Improved
Batch your price alerts into the daily recap

Don't want a separate email every time a card dips under your target? You can now roll price alerts into your daily recap instead — one digest, all your drops, no inbox pile-up. Keep them real-time if you'd rather pounce the moment a listing breaks your number.

  • Fixed
GrailSense Picks match the card, not the title

Picks now match on the actual card a listing is for — set, parallel, player, grade — instead of whatever words the seller stuffed into the title. Fewer near-misses, more genuine fits.

Week of June 1, 2026

  • New
Typo Finder — a free misspelling checker

A new public tool: type a card or player and see the misspellings sellers actually use — "Chrizard," "Bowmen Chrome," "Prizim." Those listings get fewer eyes and lower bids, and now you can see them at a glance. It's the same misspelling-catching engine GrailBot runs on every search, opened up for anyone to try.

  • New
    GrailSense discovery

GrailSense now surfaces players adjacent to the ones you already chase — "you watch Bellingham, here's Yamal." It's discovery, not just retrieval: the grails you didn't know to look for, bridged from the ones you love. (Pro)

  • Improved
GrailScore knows your stars by nickname

Scoring now recognizes the names collectors actually use, so searches and matches hold up even when a listing leans on a nickname instead of the full name.

  • Improved
Run your searches on day one

New searches can kick off their first run right away instead of waiting for the next scheduled pass — set it up, hit go, and start seeing matches.

  • Improved
    Picks in your weekly digest

Your Sunday GrailSense digest now folds in the week's top Picks alongside everything else it surfaces, so the best consignment finds land in one place. (Pro)

  • Fixed
No more ended auctions in Picks

Picks that had already closed could linger in your feed. They're now cleared out, so everything you see is still live and bidding.

  • Fixed

Patched a few broken upgrade links that 404'd, and fixed the username showing wrong in the mobile top bar.

Week of May 25, 2026

  • New
GrailSense Picks — deals from the big consignment houses

Twice a week, GrailBot scans the major consignment auctions — PWCC, Probstein, COMC and more — and fans out the ones that match your taste. No search setup required; the deals just show up, filtered to what you actually collect. (Pro)

  • New
    Your Collection, leveled up

A reworked Collection surface ties your owned cards, Grail Sets, and TCG Sets together with live market value, so what you own and what you're still chasing live in one place.

  • New
    Pro now runs 200 searches

Pro's saved-search cap jumped to 200 — matching eBay's own limit, so you can mirror your entire eBay saved-search list one-to-one and let GrailBot run every one of them.

  • Improved
    Tune what GrailScore rewards

A new settings page lets you see how GrailScore weighs set tier, parallel rarity, grade, and features — so the score lines up with what matters to you.

  • Improved
    Sharper search building

The AI Search Builder got better at turning a plain-English ask into a clean saved search — tighter filters, smarter exclusions, fewer junk listings to wade through. (Pro)

  • Improved
    "You already own one" badge

Listings for cards already in your Collection now carry a quiet badge so you can spot them instantly — without hiding them, in case you're stacking copies.

  • Improved
    A fresh look for grailbot.ai

The homepage got a rebuild around how the hunt actually works — hunt, uncover, score, capture — with a real side-by-side of two near-identical cards GrailScore correctly tells apart.

  • Fixed

Tightened up comp matching so fair-market values pull from closer sales, and removed a cap that was trimming the daily recap short.

Week of May 18, 2026

  • New
    Grail Sets

Track every card you'd chase for a player. Choose from curated 50-player checklists across basketball, football, baseball, soccer, and hockey — or build your own custom set. Mark cards owned, watch your completion fill in, and either jump straight to eBay or have GrailBot track each one for you.

  • New
    Publish + fork Grail Sets

Built a list you're proud of? Publish it so other collectors can browse and copy it. Find someone else's public set you like? Fork it into your account as a starting point — no manual rebuild.

  • New
    Closest-to-completion widget

Your three Grail Sets nearest to done now surface on the dashboard home so the chase is one click away.

  • New
    Send feedback from anywhere

A Send feedback button is now in the sidebar and the mobile menu. Bugs, ideas, questions — every submission lands in our queue and we read all of them.

  • Improved
    Color-coded search source tags

Every saved search now shows where it came from — TCG Set, Grail Set, AI Builder, Weekly Pick, or manual — with a tag in the list. Filter by source from a row of chips above the table.

  • Improved
    Smarter rookie searches

Any search containing rookie or RC automatically expands to catch both spellings. Stops you missing listings sellers tagged with the shorthand.

  • Improved
Pick a display name that isn't your email

Your sign-in email stays your account ID, but the name shown in greetings and emails is now editable to anything you want from Settings.

  • Improved
    Consistent Collection tabs

My Collection / TCG Sets / Grail Sets now share one tab bar across every collection page. No more double-stacked or differently-labeled rows.

  • Fixed

Onboarding checklist now dismisses properly once you've created a search and connected eBay — no more lingering after the work was done.

  • Fixed

Other users' published Grail Sets no longer leak into the Your custom sets section. They live in Discover only.

  • Fixed

Dropped a duplicate GrailScore entry that mobile users were seeing labeled as Signals.

Week of May 11, 2026

  • New
Affiliate links on every eBay click-through

When you click any Find on eBay link, it's tagged so GrailBot earns a small commission from eBay at zero cost to you. It's how we keep the lights on and ship faster.

  • New
Honest comp data in the FMV drawer

Click any market-value badge and you'll now see the exact comparable listings used to compute it, with clear labels explaining the data window. No more black-box estimates.

  • New
    Misspelled-listing matcher

Searches now catch listings where sellers misspelled the player name or set name — the underpriced ones nobody else finds because the typo killed the title.

  • Improved
    Tighter comp matching

When pricing a serialized card (a /65 Red Wave, for example), we no longer mix in /99 Camo or other variants that would distort the average. Matches by parallel, serial number, and grade strictly.

  • Improved
    Free tier signup pitch rewritten

Rewrote both pricing cards to lead with what GrailBot does for you — auto-watchlists, GrailScore on every listing, misspelling matches — instead of internal feature names.

  • Improved
    Three-agent landing layout

Search Agent, Set Agent, and GrailSense now render as equal peers on the landing page — each gets the same visual real estate.

  • Fixed

The Run all now button on the dashboard now actually runs your searches.

  • Fixed

Watchlist near-cap warning stops nagging once you've dismissed it — at most once per day, not on every dashboard refresh.

  • Fixed

Listing card images now show the whole image regardless of orientation. No more cropped graded slabs.

Week of May 4, 2026

  • New
GrailSense — the brain behind the bot

GrailSense learns what you actually collect from every decision you make — watches, skips, collection adds, search history. After a couple of weeks it personalizes scoring, surfaces lookalikes you might also want, and emails a weekly digest tuned to your taste.

  • New
Bootstrap GrailSense from your eBay history

Upload a CSV from eBay's order-history export to bootstrap GrailSense instantly. Skips the two-week learning window.

  • New
70+ curated player and character subjects

Pick from a vetted list during onboarding instead of typing keywords from scratch. Covers sports cards and TCG — Pokémon, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Magic, One Piece.

  • Improved
    Brand refresh

New logo mark, palette, and consistent treatment across the dashboard, emails, and landing page. Should feel a little more like a real product.

  • Improved
    Reorganized dashboard

Your stats are above the fold. Hot Now lives full-width below the agent row. A new Did You Win? section celebrates recently-ended auctions that were on your watchlist.

  • Fixed

Mobile bottom nav no longer collides with the iOS home indicator.

  • Fixed

When you finish onboarding, your initial scan fires immediately instead of waiting for the next scheduled cycle.

Week of April 27, 2026

  • New
    TCG Set tracker

Track Pokémon (with Magic / Yu-Gi-Oh! / One Piece on the way) set completion against the full master checklist. Mark cards owned, see what's missing, jump straight to live listings or spin up a tracking search in one click.

  • New
    Per-edition pricing for vintage Pokémon

Base Set / Jungle / Fossil cards now surface 1st Edition / Shadowless / Unlimited prices separately. Vintage cards aren't one price — and now your portfolio knows that.

  • New
    Card variant + misspelling expansion

Searches automatically catch common misspellings and abbreviations across eBay's noisy listing titles. Fewer missed deals.

  • Improved
    Bulk actions everywhere

Bulk select / deselect on Searches and Set pages so you can edit, run, or delete a whole batch at once.

  • Improved
    Cleaner set-detail layout

Clearer card pricing, three stacked action buttons replace the cramped action row.

  • Fixed

Page no longer loads scrolled past the header on mobile.
